Matmissionen are Stockholm City Mission's social grocery stores that benefit both people and the environment. Our selection consists exclusively of goods at risk of becoming waste and donated from the grocery industry. By shopping with us, you contribute to reduced food waste and enable our members to buy food at low prices. Matmissionen also helps people into working life as we offer a unique work training place by being the only food chain run by the non-profit sector without profit interest.

Matmissionen currently has nine stores in the Stockholm area: Jakobsberg, Hägersten, Hallunda, Handen, Kista, Vällingby, Rågsved, Södertälje, and Norrtälje. The location for this position is primarily in Kista. As a temporary substitute at Matmissionen, you support the store operations as needed and contribute to daily running. The tasks are varied and include, for example:

• Checkout service and customer service
• Act as a greeter and assist with opening the store
• Sort and pick up goods
• Price goods
• Clean the store and warehouse
• Perform date and temperature checks
• Deliver food to our social activities as needed

In all tasks, you will also instruct and coach individuals undergoing work training in our activities.

We are looking for you who:

• Identify with Stockholm City Mission's values
• Enjoy working with other people and providing good service
• Are flexible and can step in with short notice
• Are accustomed to taking responsibility and initiating actions within given frameworks
• Are meticulous, patient, and stress-resistant
• Speak fluent Swedish, and preferably additional languages

We prefer that you have a B-driver's license and are primarily seeking people who can work daytime hours on weekdays. Experience from a grocery store or handling food is an advantage. We place great importance on your personal qualities.
